Joseph Roybal is a professional Denver, Colorado based photographer specializing in travel, landscape, and documentary style photography that captures the essence of a country or culture. Joseph’s photography has been published in AFAR Travel Magazine
, Denver Magazine
, and promoted in The Denver Post
and has worked for international clients such as the Four Seasons
. He recently exhibited alongside world-renowned travel photographer Blaine Harrington III in the John Fielder gallery in Denver, and currently displays his work in several Denver locations. He has scouted locations for National Geographic workshops, and currently assists fellow photographer Dan Ballard
with his popular landscape photography workshops.
Joseph’s passion for “off the beaten path travel”
comes from several years of living overseas and immersing himself in the traditional lifestyle of a country. Joseph strives to catch moments in life that may pass unnoticed, but actually reveal the rich day-to-day customs of a particular country: from sharing café au lait in the heart of the city with local Parisians to back-country expeditions in the outdoors, Joseph interacts with the community to gain a deeper understanding of their culture. Joseph sees each of these enriching experiences as an opportunity to grow, both as a photographer and as an avid traveler.
Joseph gains his inspiration from his desire to EXLORE the world around him. He discovered that the only way to truly LEARN is to be open and vulnerable to new experiences – the best photographs sometimes come from the most unpredictable situations. Joseph is working to align himself with local photographers in the Denver area and non-profit organizations abroad to SHARE his passion for travel and photojournalism. Joseph is proud to be sponsored by Zenfolio
and he hopes his body of work will encourage others to see the world around us in a different light.
